Becoming a therapist was a natural fit for me as I have a natural ability to build genuine rapport with others coupled with an interest in psychology and how the mind works.  I enjoy learning about other people's journey and what makes them unique. I am most fulfilled when I am able to help others identify how their life experience has made them resilient and prepared for their next phase of life, while giving them the confidence to surmount anything they may be working through in the moment.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with my licensure being held in the state of Pennsylvania. My primary areas of interest include working with children and adults who have experienced trauma as well as those who have difficulty with boundary setting in various areas of their life.  I have a wealth of knowledge working with those who have experienced various forms of abuse, issues with anger management, work-life balance, self-esteem concerns, parent-child relational issues, anxiety, grief, and depression.

Within the therapeutic environment, my approach to counseling can be described as warm, encouraging, yet challenging. I ascribed to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Solution Focused Brief Therapy for my coaching clients with an emphasis on resolving cyclical patterns that perpetuate perceived problematic behaviors. I am trained in the empirically researched and highly acclaimed EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) technique which I use to help my clients process and heal from various forms of trauma. I also use a motivational coaching approach as needed to address the unique concerns of each client. I enjoy bringing out the best in others and I am happy to be able to be of service within the therapeutic environment.
